Planned Giving Options
This is a simple designation in your will of an amount or certain asset to pass to Boys Hope Girls Hope (BHGH) upon death. It can also be in the form of designating a certain interest income to a beneficiary with the asset to pass to BHGH upon the death of the beneficiary.
Ownership of existing or new policies on your life can be transferred to BHGH with BHGH receiving the death benefits.
Charitable Gift Annuity
A transfer of cash to BHGH in return for guaranteed fixed annual income, in addition to a charitable deduction.
Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust
Transfer of cash or assets to a trustee which would pay a percentage of the original gift annually to the donor for life. On death, the remaining principal passes to BHGH.
Individuals may name BHGH as a beneficiary for all or any portion of funds remaining at death. For some individuals over 72 years of age, their IRA provides an opportunity to roll their RMD to BHGH. This is know at the Qualified IRA Charitable Distribution and eliminates potential tax consequences of receiving the distribution personally.
