Let’s get to know the remarkable individuals who have recently joined our BHGH family:

Robert Uribe, Middle School Program Manager

Meet Robert Uribe, a dynamic leader and advocate for the youth of Arizona. Originally hailing from the Dominican Republic, Robert made history by becoming the youngest and first Afro-Latino Mayor of Douglas, AZ. His dedication to public service and the well-being of young individuals is unwavering. Before his tenure as Mayor, Robert served as a youth educator in the bustling city of New York, where he honed his skills in supporting and guiding young minds.

Upon returning to Arizona, Robert continued his commitment to children as a coach at Phoenix Country Day School, imparting knowledge and instilling values in the next generation. His journey led him to Douglas, where he and his wife, Jenea, opened Galiano’s Café, the town’s sole coffee shop, becoming a cornerstone of the local community. Robert is also actively engaged in the arts and cultural scene, showcasing his multifaceted talents. With his unique blend of experiences and his passion for uplifting Arizona’s youth, Robert is a valuable addition to our team.
