BHGH Scholar wins prestigious SFX Award!

BHGH scholar April, an eighth grader at SFX, was honored with the St. Francis Xavier Award. The St. Francis Xavier award honors a student who exemplifies among peers the values reflected in the life of our patron saint.

St. Francis Xavier met St. Ignatius of Loyola while studying at the University of Paris, and became his loyal companion and friend.  He joined with Ignatius and five others in dedicating their lives and will to the service of God and forming the Society of Jesus.  St. Francis Xavier is known for his zeal, courage, and charity in spreading the Christian faith in India and Japan.  Because of his preaching, many came to know Christ.
